DEC 1/14  Pearson College (United World College) Scholarship deadline (apply in grade 11)
Pearson College UWC is a two-year pre-university school (Grade 12 and Gap Year) The College was named in honour of the work done by the late Canadian Prime Minister, Nobel Peace Laureate, Lester B. Pearson. FEB 5/16 - Corpus Christi - Step into Leadership Scholarship that will pay the first year tuition. In-school deadline to notify your counsellors that you would like to be 1 of 3 students in your school to be nominated for this scholarship. A student must have current Grade 12 GPA of 84% or higher and provide proof of demonstrated leadership and community service, and must have applied to and intend to enroll in Corpus Christi College at UBC for 2016/2017. and submits 3 references and an essay answering: What does inspirational leadership mean to you? (Max 400 words) Deadline to submit is March 7, 2016.

 

Feb 20/15- Huron University College Scholarships Deadline -
Huron Automatic Entrance Scholarships (no application required) - Scholarships range from 3,000 to $10,000 over 4 years depending on a students average. To qualify students must achieve a final admission average of 80% or better.  Scholarships will be calculated based on the students' final admission average for the program to which they are admitted.
Hellmuth Scholarship (application required) - Up to ten scholarships each valued at $30,000 (over 4 years).  To qualify students normally have a midterm average of 90% or better and outstanding achievement in volunteer/community service, athletic, the arts and/or student life. APR 1/15 - Douglas College Entrance Awards Application Deadline - Entrance awards are available to students entering Douglas College in September directly from high school.  For a complete list of awards and instructions on how to apply visit:  www.douglascollege.ca/student-services/financial/financial-aid/scholarships/applying.  (Note:  The online application forms are not available until Feb 1st)

 

   

 

MAY 15/14   Douglas College ~ Entrance Bursaries deadline
Douglas College has a 'new' entrance bursary program for the 2014/15 academic year.  There are 16 entrance bursaries available, worth $2,000 each semester, based on financial need.  The minimum requirements for the Douglas College Entrance Bursary are:
1) Financial need (to be determined by the Douglas College Financial Aid Office);
2) Be a Canadian citizen, landed immigrant or convention refugee;
3) Plan to, and must ultimately, enroll in a minimum 12 credit course load in any program or Faculty at Douglas College;
4) Must be graduating from a senior secondary school in Metro Vancouver

June 26/15 APEGBC Post-Secondary Entrance Scholarships. The APEG Foundation offers several entry scholarships to British Columbia high school graduates entering engineering or earth science programs at the University of British Columbia, University of Victoria, Simon Fraser University, British Columbia Institute of Technology and the University of Northern British Columbia. The entry scholarships are awarded on the basis of a combination of factors, including academic standing, extracurricular activities, financial need and a student statement. JUN 26/15  5 pm - APEGBC Post Secondary Entrance 'Transfer' Scholarship - deadline

JUN 30/15 - Langara Entrance Bursaries
Langara College will once again be offering Entrance Bursaries ($500) to new students entering from high schools in the September 2015 term. Selection will be based on financial need and on acceptance and enrolment at Langara. The application deadline is June 30, 2015. AUG 5/15 BCIT Additional Entrance Awards Deadline - Valued up to $4,500 for students entering a program starting April 1/15 to Nov 30/15
