We hope all our students and McNair community members enjoyed a restful and rejuvenating winter holiday, reconnecting with family an friends. Our students had a very busy and very exciting first day back. A group of parents from a local business (Pro-Claim Restoration) hosted a pancake and sausage breakfast for all students as they arrived at school, and students got a warm greeting and plate of hot food to start the year off right! We would like to thank all the volunteers and staff who helped coordinate this great way to kick off the new year!
We also want to remind parents that there are only three weeks of classes left in Semester One. Students will be very busy as they try to prepare for final exams and assignments. It is an important time to stay focussed and stay organized.
We also want to remind all parents that we have our first PAC meeting of 2018 on Tuesday, January 9th at 7:00 PM in the library. We will be bringing in our RCMP Liaison Officer (Cst Eric Chan) to share some information with parents about the dangers and things to watch for in Social Media. We strongly encourage as many parents as possible to attend this informative session.
We also want to remind parents and students that Wednesday, January 10th will be a Collaboration Day, and we will be starting school at 9:45 AM. For those coming in from Hamilton, the Transportation staff should be sending you an email about alternate pick up times soon.
More than anything, we want to wish everyone in the McNair community a Happy New Year. Let's make 2018 our best one yet!
