Graduation is still a ways off, but celebratory events plans are being planned: Dinner/Dance in Vancouver and Dry After Grad Party at McNair (Monday, June 24). The Valedictory Ceremony is on Friday, June 7th at the South Delta Baptist Church in Tsawassen. In order to help us prepare for this very important event, we need some information from our Graduates. Please go to the following link and tell us if you plan to attend the ceremony, what size of gown you will need and please complete the Valedictory write-up (the statement that is read when you cross the stage at the ceremony; there are some instructions and examples on the link). We need this information no later than March 15th.
Grad composite photos are scheduled for December. In order to book and appointment, please use the link below:
Graduation is a very important time in the life of students, and we encourage all of our students to participate in the social events that come with being in Grade 12. Students just had an assembly to get adjusted TVRs (Transcript Verification Reports), so please check to ensure their courses and marks are correct. Once you are satisfied with what you have seen, please sign and return your TVR to your Counsellor. (Please see attached for further information.)
It is also the time to start thinking about Scholarships. In order for any student sto be considered for a scholarship, they must have applied. All Grade 12 students should apply, because scholarships are not selected based solely on marks. See the counselling centre for scholarship opportunities. Please listen to the School's Daily Announcements in January for information about applications for McNair scholarships.
Lastly, please ensure you have paid for events like the Valedictory ($50), Dinner/Dance ($130), Dry After Grad ($75) and Yearbook ($40). If you want to participate in these events, you need to have paid. If you are unsure of what you have paid for, lists of grad activity payments are posted on the Student Study Centre windows outside the large gym. If you have not yet paid, please see the Business Assistant (Mrs. Yee) ASAP.
