SD38 KPU Dual-Credit Program Applications

Please see the information below and the attached files for information on applying for KPU dual-credit programs run through the district Career Programs office. For more information regarding these programs, please contact the Career Programs office.

Applications for our two KPU dual-credit programs are out and will soon be due (see links below and attachments).  For both, tuition is covered.  Both programs run one night per week from 4-7pm.  All courses are university transferable.  Students earn 4 high school credits plus KPU credits for successful results in their course.

 

Scotiabank STRIVE - runs January - April 2024

Applications Due: May 8th

Who Applies: Current Grade 10 and 11's who are underrepresented, including those who do not think they would qualify for university. 

Features: All of our SD38 STRIVE students are all in the same pre-selected course.  A class ambassador/tutor, to support the students, as well as an "all SD38" cohort.  Will take up to 30 students in the class.

Applications Due: May 23rd

Who Applies: Current Grade 11's only

Features: Students select course they want to take from the list found in the application.  Will be in class with students from all over (adults included).  Will take up to 20 students.  Depending on the course, some are in-person, but others are on-line.  (Specified in the application.)
