Saturday, September 30, 2023 marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. (Schools will be closed on Monday, October 2). September 30 honours the children lost and the survivors of residential schools, their families and communities.

Both the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day take place on September 30. We encourage each individual in our McNair community to wear orange on Friday, September 29. We will spend time together reflecting and finding meaningful ways to recognize and raise awareness of the very tragic legacy of residential schools in Canada.
