Program Planning Information Evening

With the restrictions in place due to the COVID 19 pandemic, the Program Planning Information Evening and Open House/Showcase will have to be different.  This very important information session will take place on Thursday, January 21st.  The Information sharing will take place via a Zoom Webinar where the Administration and Counseling Teams will speak with parents about course offerings, programs and the process for selection courses for the 2021-22 school year.  The course selection process at school will begin with students in February, but the session on January 21st will be for parents to learn more about high school life and how to support their children with making choices for next school year.

The Open House/Showcase we traditionally do in the school will also have to be different due to the inability for people to gather indoors.  The school is preparing a video that will profile a "day in the life" at McNair.  The schedule for the evening of January 21st follows:

  • 6:00-7:00  Grade 7 Parent Program Planning Information
  • 7:00-7:30  Showcase video of a "Day in the Life" at McNair Secondary School
  • 7:30-8:15  Grade 8 & 9 Parent Program Planning Information (for students entering Grade 9 and 10 in September 2021)
  • 8:15-9:15  Grade 10 & 11 Parent Program Planning Information (for students entering Grade 11 and 12 in September 2021)

We are disappointed that we are unable to have this meeting in person as we normally would, but are working hard to replicate the experience as best we can during these challenging times.  We hope to see all of our parents at the Zoom Webinar on Thursday, January 21st at the time that is appropriate for your interests and the grade level of your child.  Please see below for the Webinar link and password:
