The Student Council Election process begins today!  We are looking for students in any grade who want to make a difference, are determined, enthusiastic and have an excellent work ethic.  There are a number of roles available; to see the available positions and to nominate yourself please CLICK HERE (SD38 login is required to access the form).

Timeline 

Nomination Week – September 16-20, 2024

To nominate yourself please complete the online form. Students can self-nominate for any of the Executive Council positions. Students that qualify will be contacted on Monday September 23 to accept their nomination for the position they hope to run for. 

Campaign Week – September 23-27

Election Week officially begins on Monday, September 23, 2024.  Candidates will be given rules and expectations for the general elections prior to campaigning. Candidates will clear all of their campaign posters from the school after their Election is complete.  

Candidates Speeches – October 1, 2024 

Candidates will be given rules to follow for their campaign speech to ensure all candidates are given an equal opportunity. The format for election speeches will be shared with candidates during campaign week.  

Election Week – October 1-4, 2024

Voting starts October 1, after the election speeches. Students will be able to vote online or in the main office.  Candidates will be notified the week of October 7^th of the results of the election. The student body will be informed during this week as well.
