September 8 - Staff and Students Return to McNair

      Schedule for First Day (September 8, 2026)

            10:00 AM           Grade 8 Student Orientation Assembly & Homeroom
            11:00 AM           Mini School Orientation Assembly
            11:30 AM           Grade 9-10 Student Orientation Assembly & Homeroom
            1:00 PM            Grade 11-12 Student Orientation Assembly & Homeroom

• All students will first gather in the Large Gym before being directed to their homeroom classes.
• Grade 8 teachers and student mentors will be in the Large Gym at 10:00 AM to welcome and assist new Grade 8 students before guiding them to their homeroom classes. Grade 8 students can expect their welcoming activities to last approximately one hour.
• Grades 9-12 students can expect the assembly and homeroom procedures to take approximately 30 to 45 minutes. Students will be dismissed from their homeroom classes at the conclusion of their orientation session.
• During the week of August 31 to September 4, counsellors, office staff, and administrators will be at McNair preparing to welcome students and staff back to school by finalizing timetables, schedules, and orientation activities.
