Like all Richmond High Schools during this pandemic year, McNair’s student timetable operated using the Quarter System. In conversations with students and staff, we noticed early on that there were concerns regarding the overall well-being of our learners and as a caring community, we proceeded to investigate by surveying our students and creating Student Focus Groups that addressed the following:

Questions:

1. Are you able to keep up with the concepts and material covered in class? Do you feel that you are ready for the next level?
2. What can you say about your workload in the quarterly system?
3. What makes you feel you belong to the McNair school community?
4. What do you miss the most compared to a regular school year?

Our goal is to show continued care for the students and staff especially in a year that was filled with much anxiety, uncertainty, and loss.
